Hi, my name is Heidi, lovely to meet you! I am the principal yoga teacher at YOGA-PRACTICE-PEACE.
What does YOGA-PRACTICE-PEACE actually mean? Some days I think it doesn’t quite roll off the tongue, but it does have a lot of meaning to me, and that is… regular yoga and meditation practice creates inner peace, grounding, and space to think and evolve.
“Yoga Practice = Inner Peace”
Based on the northside of Brisbane, I teach yoga classes, courses, workshops, and one on one yoga therapy at Yoga 4 Life in Sandgate.
I am a Yoga Australia registered Yoga Therapist, Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Meditation Teacher. I have been trained by some of the best yoga teacher trainers, Ruth Campbell, Sal Flynn, Flo Fenton, Trish David, Liz Williams, Louise Godfrey, Marian Cavanagh and the team at Biyome. These inspirational people have shared their knowledge and wisdom, and afforded me the opportunities to teach in wonderful studios, assist in training yoga teacher trainees, and join a like-minded community of yoga professionals.
My style of yoga is accessible and practiced with ahimsa always in mind, I am most comfortable with the beginner and multi-level yogi of all ages from 7 to 80+. I am not a stand on your head and twist your spine into a pretzel, Instagram perfect yogi (much respect, acceptance and love to those that are…). I teach with realistic expectations of each individual, with authenticity, acceptance and kindness.
When I am not teaching yoga, I work in the world of people & culture management, I have an extensive career in this field. This experience coupled with my academic achievements, love for teaching, and deep understanding of the benefits of yoga is what has led me to share this practice with others.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about my classes or need any advice about yoga. Always happy to help!

In a yoga therapy session, you will work collaboratively with your yoga therapist to establish an individualised, structured, and evolving program that works for you and your lifestyle.
This holistic therapeutic application empowers individuals to take charge of their healing. The Yoga Therapist will form a team with your other allied health therapist and medical practitioners ensuring your therapy is complimentary to other medical treatments.
Therapy is provided through the blend of ancient yogic tradition and contemporary research, incorporating an extensive toolkit of movement, breath, meditation, sound, and gesture to support you on your journey to optimum health and wellbeing.
